Day by day
Day 1: Arrival at Gold Zanzibar
You are met at the airport and transferred to Gold Zanzibar on the northern coast. After a welcome drink and check-in, dinner and the night are on half board.
Day 2: Beach day
A full free day to settle in and enjoy the beach and hotel.
Day 3: Safari Blue
Travel to Fumba to board a traditional dhow equipped with life jackets and radios, snorkelling in sheltered shallows with equipment provided. Lunch of barbecued fish, rice and curry is served on a sandbank or island, there is time for an outrigger canoe sail, and you are back at the hotel around half past five.
Day 4: Stone Town and sunset dhow cruise
After lunch you head to Stone Town for a two to three-hour tour of the market, 1874 cathedral, Zanzibar Museum, Tippu Tip’s House, Old Fort and Indian Dispensary, with free time for shopping. At about half past four you board a dhow to sail along the coast as the sun sets, with a short guided snorkel and drinks and snacks from the cool box on the way back.
Day 5: Beach day
A last free day at the hotel to relax on the beach.
Day 6: Departure
Depending on your flight time, you are collected after breakfast for the airport or seaport.
