Day by day

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

Accessible Travel Kenya’s team meets you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, at the aircraft door if you need airside assistance, and helps with immigration and luggage. A short transfer in the company’s ramp or swivel-seat van to the Sarova Panafric. The afternoon is free to rest; your driver-guide briefs you on the days ahead.

Day 2: Nairobi’s best-loved day

A sunrise game drive in Nairobi National Park, with lion and rhino against the city skyline and breakfast in the park. At 11:00, the orphaned elephants at their mud bath at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust nursery. Lunch in a Karen garden restaurant, then eye to eye with Rothschild’s giraffes at the Giraffe Centre, feeding them by hand from the platform.

Day 3: Fly to the Masai Mara

A short transfer to Wilson Airport and about 45 minutes by light aircraft, boarding by ramp or assisted transfer. Accessible Travel Kenya’s Land Cruiser meets you at the airstrip for a game drive into Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 4: A full day on the plains

A long game drive with a picnic lunch by the river: lion, leopard, cheetah and the Migration herds from July to October.

Day 5: The Mara at your pace

Morning and evening drives with a rest afternoon. Optional dawn hot-air balloon, or a Maasai village visit.

Day 6: Fly to Tsavo East

A light-aircraft flight from the Mara to Tsavo East (direct charter, or via Wilson on scheduled flights; Accessible Travel Kenya confirms routing at booking). Met at the airstrip and on to Ashnil Aruba Lodge for an afternoon drive to Aruba Dam.

Day 7: The red elephants

Elephants dusted red with Tsavo soil along the Galana River, Lugard Falls and the wide view from Mudanda Rock, on long, flat park roads where yours is often the only vehicle.

Day 8: Tsavo at your pace

A morning drive and a rest afternoon watching the waterhole from the lodge, then a final sundowner drive.

Day 9: Home

Fly back to Wilson for your onward flight, with meet and assist at JKIA. Or continue to the coast by road, or take the Madaraka Express from Voi.
