Day by day
Day 1: Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park
Leave your hotel early for Zanzibar Airport and take the short flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly the Selous Game Reserve), one of Africa’s largest protected areas. Set off straight away on a game drive in an open 4×4, pausing mid-morning for tea or coffee and at lunchtime for a hot picnic served at a table in the bush. End the day at your lodge for dinner and the night.
Day 2: Full game drive and return to Zanzibar
After breakfast and check-out, spend a second full day exploring the park, again with a hot picnic lunch in the bush. In the late afternoon, fly back to Zanzibar and transfer to your hotel.
